302 302 Found (Temporary Redirect)

The resource is temporarily available at a different URL. The original URL should still be used for future requests.

When you'll see it

When a URL is only away for now: sending a logged-out visitor to the login page, a short campaign, or an A/B test.

What to check

That the move really is temporary. If it's permanent, use a 301, so search engines don't keep the old URL.
That non-GET requests behave as you intend. Many clients turn a POST into a GET after a 302; use 307 to keep the method.
That no redirect loop appears between login and account pages.

SEO impact

Does not consolidate link equity by default. Google may index either URL. Use only for genuinely temporary situations like A/B tests or geo-redirects.
