Why convert AVIF to JPG?
AVIF compresses even better than WEBP, but it's also the newest and least-supported of the modern formats — plenty of phones, older browsers, and most non-web software still can't open it. JPG guarantees it opens wherever you send it.

Is AVIF actually better than WEBP or JPG?
For pure compression efficiency at a given quality, yes, generally — but that advantage doesn't matter if the app or device on the other end can't open the file at all.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
